After leading the Kansas City Chiefs to their third Super Bowl victory in the last five years, Patrick Mahomes emphasized that they are far from satisfied and are aiming for more success.
While celebrating their triumph over the San Francisco 49ers with a 25-22 overtime win, Mahomes spoke to the CBS broadcast, stating, “Yes, it’s the beginning of a dynasty, but we’re not done yet. I know we’re going to celebrate tonight (…), but we have a young team, and we’ll continue with this.”
The Chiefs’ triumph marked the first time in two decades that the NFL champion has secured consecutive titles.
Reflecting on the significance of this victory, Mahomes acknowledged the adversity the team faced during the season. “It means a lot,” said the star quarterback, expressing pride in his team’s achievements. “I’m proud of my boys. This is great. It’s legendary,” he added.
